Refunds or Exchange Notices
Sometimes you may see notices that try to restrict your consumer rights.
Here are a few examples:
“No refunds given”
“Goods can only be exchanged”
“Only credit notes will be given against faulty goods
Depending on the wording, the display of the notice may be a criminal offence.
Also, this type of notice has no effect on your legal rights. If goods are faulty, not fit for purpose or not as described, you are legally entitled to a refund, partial refund, repair or replacement, depending on the individual circumstances.
